Earl Simmons (December 18, 1970 - - April 9 2021) was known as DMX was an American rapper and actor. The album he released as his debut album It's Dark and hot launched in 1998. The rapper began to rap in the 90s. 251,000 copies were sold in its first week. [5][6] In 1999, DMX released... and then There Was X. It included the smash hit track "Party up (Up in Here). The singles from 2003 "Where the Hood At?" and "X I'm Going to Give It To Ya" were also commercially successful. After being imprisoned for taking a dog, he began writing his own lyrics and performing at the local recreation center for younger youngsters. While in prison for carjacking, he began dedicating a large portion of his time writing lyrics. He also met and performed with K-Solo. He began selling mixtapes that was produced and sold after the release of his prison for carjacking. The mixtapes helped him to build a fan base within New York. Percee P as well as DMX appeared on The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show 1991, during which they improvised.
